yeah been talking about this coming for awhile now, about 4 to 5 years or so, when ChatGPT reached a point it could do kids homework for them. Shortly after you can see the signs that LLM's would be able to do many of the college training required jobs soon, and here we are today. Hopefully our governments and corporations consider the general existence of a human population to be important enough to create UBI before all jobs drop, the longer this transition takes the more people will become homeless or starve in the coming years. So if its going to go that way the faster it happens the more likely we do something to make sure we take care of people. Where as if it happens very slowly, people who haven't lost their jobs yet will maintain the delusion that they will be fine and wont try to fix it in time.
