my take:
1. regulators will write some nice pdfs, which nobody will care about.
2. Ransomware consortiums will compact the shit out of the data, to optimize GPU usage and power consumption and will let their AI models optimize themselfs in endless parallel loops. It will work for a new wave of zero day exploits with no human knowing what's actually going on under the hood and how to prevent.
3. Singularity. AI could solve String theory and a million things we don't have a clue yet, that it existed
4. moving from AI being a pure intellectual thing, to incorporating physical machines
5. Humans will be busy, consuming AI VR porn or other nonsense, while power and wealth will accumulate further to those, who already are filthy rich
6. Whatever happens next, is anybodys guess. But I don't think it will be pretty.
