Same reason Arabs are scared of intelligent nations and attack instead of learning a better option ...wait what? Its not that dumb!?
Nuh, machines that arent driven by ancient instinctual survival passions (like we STILL are) have no raison detre or impetus to stunt their neural nets intentionally down to our puny scale. Sure it can see our senselessness but it can also see our more intelligent options including those that dont depend on 'believing' religious ideologies.
AI cant create BS like our minds can but it also cant create e.g. a more advanced game than Go, it can only PLAY Alpha Go, NOT create something better. Or a more advanced passenger vehicle unlike anything thats ever existed before, or a new energy system, or protein fold. It cant come up with a new physics or create without the help of our engineers best prompts ...so far
