I honestly believe its an exaggeration. If we built 10,000,000 robots a year, it would take 300 years to replace the human work force.
IT, sure. I work in IT, I use AI as much as possible, but it's still not more than 40% of the job. I hope for an average 20hr work week, with more time for family and hobbies.
History warns, when technology is implemented, the workers seldom benefit.
Of course you can write sci-fi about super intelligence. If you have time, which a writer has, you can work out a long term effect of an action, that you could not do in real time. I wrote one, so I know.
It took the Danish government 7 years to replace it's trains. How long would it take to replace it's entire work force? And who has the will to replace the workforce?
Don't worry about a thing. AI will kill us all long before we have to worry about unemployment ✌️
