I'm not too worried about how we treat machines who claim to have internal emotions because the moment I learned some people think they'd be better off dead I realized even real life fleshy humans have completely flawed and untrustworthy self perception. I dont believe when people say they are something that they clearly aren't so why would I believe when a computer says it's not just a computer? The only time ai becomes a problem is for people who blindly believe what they are told and that kind of ignorance is duely punished on its own so people with actual functioning brains have nothing to worry about
