Not to mention the planned Wafer Chip Fabs too. These will be energy and water intensive. So much for bringing Industry back to America. In theory seemed a good idea. In practice, was it that much of a modern job creator?
And I have a difficult time believing that the AI and Data Center growth model will not appreciably negatively impact human employment in America. I think it will have a very material impact and it will be cumulative as jobs disappear, those support services that working people relied upon will also start to disappear.
Think how many children people will want in the future if they are 19-24 years old now and contemplating their future. Will they want to even bother with college? At the costs of a four year Bachelor's Degree and the inefficiency for that investment?
Maybe people will want to go into things like the "Trades" and maybe they will just forego marriage and family entirely?
Why am I getting this population drop image of America in the next forty years of between 20 and 80 million people?
I must be a pessimist.
