Thing is what we have is algorithmic models. If we had true AI, stuff that was capable of thinking and acting on it's own accord. The whole AI fad would have been quickly ditched and laws would be passed to ban any more research into it.
But the "AI" we do have, shouldn't be used for anything.
It gets things wrong more often than it gets them right. So medical uses are out because people would die.
