It's funny how western countries like to criticize China's social credit system. All the while we are slowly adopting it here in the west. The only big difference is that the governments here are not actively pushing it and it is mostly large corporations that are doing it, under the guise of the TOS. This became more apparent with the lockdowns on what you could and couldn't say on social media.
Recently, someone had their Amazon services revoked because one of their delivery drivers "thought" they heard the doorbell say a slur, while they were wearing headphones. Amazon said they did an internal investigation, but it was apparent that they didn't. The person had to fight tooth and nail against the allegation. I think they got their service back after a week or so fighting it, while providing evidence of what had happened.
It is beyond me why anyone would tie all their automated tech to 1 service that can be cut on a dime. Actually I know why, it is because people gladly give up their freedoms for convivence.
