I realize my comment will probably get pushed down as people upvote useless comments, thanking you for nothing like usual. The problem in the short term is not AI. The problem is the millions of jobs being outsourced to India or H1B workers willing to accept 30% to 50% less pay for the same job. My team at work was considered critical. So critical that we went from hybrid to return to office full time. No more 5 months later we were all laid off. All of our jobs were sent to India. Suddenly remote work is not an issue. The quality of the work done dropped significantly but management does not care. AI is just a farce right now. We are seeing corporations lay off thousands of employees and replacing them with H1B visas that will do the job for much cheaper and offshore resources that get paid peanuts. Its modern day slavery. If you care so much about the American worker then politicians would be heavily taxing corporations that offshore resources. H1B visa workers would only be an absolute last resort. Right now both are first.
