People always think processes will extrapolate the way they are used to. Scenarios like this one are conservative estimates as they project present logic into future. What they do not take into account is the possibility of a phase transition. If AI impacts the economy like this, the whole rules of the system change in a way hard to predict. The future will not be a prolonged version of the present. If AI really should become intelligent in a not-only instrumental sense, it may as well argue for a world society living in peace and prosperity.
