He wants credit as the artist, but in reality he’s acting as a creative director. In this case, all he did was choose a pose, airbrush the legs, lasso select and morph the feet. This kinds of rough edits come from creative director would be sent to a real artist to render them properly, and once the artwork was finished, it would be sent back to the creative director for review. That's essentially what he did he sent it to AI for rendering and then claimed the credit of an artist.
