I think AI for now is a tool and most are using it in that manner. It assist in streamlining the creative process but does not replace it. I think if you truly look at where the value is added one can see it’s on the human side. Without the invention AI, humans would have continued to create just as they have always done since cave paintings and wood carvings. But could AI alone create something truly creative? I do not think so because unless you’ve lived, loved and lost and are under the awareness of your own mortality that’s is what gives us our uniques perspective which feeds our creativity. The human condition. That’s what great art pulls from. AI’s inhancements cannot truely create something that taps into that and achieves the deep responses from other humans because it simply isn’t human. And in that vein giving it credit for that and removing it from the artist is an injustice. It would also be the GREATEST theft of civilization. A new form of slavery that exploits our most basic properties.
