Shouldn't you be asking the question If we cannot afford to have welfare now and government says if it keeps growing more not working etc it will be unsustainable in the future So why are governments investing so much in AI and robotics future that will take over the jobs market which has already replaced millions of jobs with robots ? Are the owners of this technology going to provide every human need as at the moment you cant even get them to pay their taxes and have amassed billions in wealth now will they share ? or will it be weaponized and eliminate leaving only the chosen few ? Today those on welfare are demonized as a drain on society what happens when it doubles triples though the new technology ?
