As a Security Camera installer in the Detroit metro area. It was not the AI that messed up. It actually worked exactly as it intended. It looked through a database of old & out dated pictures provided by humans. It matched characteristics of another photo that was close enough that even the victim was mistaken. Then the officer failed to do due diligence in properly identify the real suspect. Detective also disregarded the fact that this sounds like a trick that got robbed by a prostitute and her dealer. Does not line up that a 8 month pregnant mother of 2 who is engaged is out on the stroll.
