Nah, that won't stop it. It can't be stopped. It's a new tech, and very useful tech. Laws are not immutable, they are changed every now and then to adapt to society.
If A.I is present in a newer society, the laws will have to be adjusted to work alongside the A.I, because A.I is not supposed to not be used. And by the way, if you click "I agree with terms and conditions" without even reading it, many of the big companies gathers a lot of data they can use for marketing related stuff, or research as they call it, but you did agree to a lot of terms surrounding them collecting your data.
I remember Facebook had a change in their terms and before you log in after the changes, a pop up showed up telling you things have changed and asked if you agreed. I'm studying to become a programmer, and A.I has already helped me with my code three times now. It pointed out the mistakes, explained how my logic had failed and even re-write the code itself with a solution applied. When I tested it, it worked!
I''m definitely going to be replaced soon by senior developers who knows how to work alongside A.I.
If I don't use it, the competition will get extremely hard. For now, it's still quite easy to land a job in I.T and salary is one of the best in the world, if not the best counting projects you could partake in. But it's all because it was new stuff, and companies are still trying to build I.T teams, but now it's about to change once again and the recruiters won't have the need to hire 10 members for an I.T team, but rather only two or three people to work with A.I.
It sucks, but it's reality, what can we do? The way I'm dealing with things is I'll keep doing what I want to do, and when time comes, I'll move on to other things if I have to. No one knows what to expect from this A.I revolution, the tech improvement was way too fast, nobody knows how to deal with it, so we only have to wait. We still have a sh** ton of people alive and will have only a few jobs available, but it's not like the government will not give a f*** to people.
They have to deal with this situation, they're going to have to adapt or else we'll have people starving to death, then rebel groups taking over, then we'll go extinct and no one, specially rulers, want to lower their power over people. They need people to rule over. I know it's a depressing logic, but isn't real life messed up?
