Well the pictures arent imbedded in the model at all, it's impossible for an AI generator to copy anything. If an online artists post their work online for the public, it's OK to watch the art. The model training scans it and learns from it's contours, shapes, styles and color. Nothing of the pictures is stored. People get inspired and copy alot of others work since beggining of time but transform it enough to call it their own which is legal, can you really copy-right a shape or a style? Since the AI normally learned from hundreads of millions pictures its seems very impossible it could "steal" any original when merging all this knowledge.
And even if people force the AI to make very look-alike to copy-righted images with img2img or specified data-sets, thats the user using the AI gen's fault. Not the technology itself. Even if you would argue that training on public posted images is stealing, well there are models that dont train on copy-righted material aswell, so cant blame the tech even so. I do get the frustrations and controversy but its just tech advancing, dont be left behind!
