I have a feeling all CCTV cameras are manufactured in China. If AI enabled, Police state needs less policemen.
I also have a feeling that American has much more police officers than China. they are literally everywhere subway, school, govt buildings, and standing at the corner. Actually if you have a gun you can do policing by yourself.
