I'm proud to be white. I'm Irish-American. We were HEAVILY oppressed, INCLUDING BEING ENSLAVED. I don't wanna hear it. Also, white guilt stems from social darwinism. This feeling of being better than other race because we're white, so therefore, we must take pity and help other races through this world. That's what this is. It's racism. They think lower of POC because of their skin color, automatically assume them as heavily oppressed, and coddle them like toddlers. My boyfriend, East Asian btw, and black friend has dealt with this. Namely, my black friend deals with it more because I guess East Asian's aren't 'colored' enough (???) but they both say it pisses them off
