I agree with all sides presented here. However, I don't think you took into account the sheer volume. The issue is, as it stands right now, even we, as artists, expect that we, as artists, should continue to suffer because we're passionate. We wanted to have this as our career and the logical way to do that and be paid enough to afford to actually do it was to be hired by corporations. Now, that won't be the case. In a way, it is freeing, both from the pressure of being humiliated and abused by the corporations as well as trying to always be in a race towards quality and higher skill compared to others. But there is still the race for attention. It was already hard enough to appear on people's radar due to the way every algorithm on every god-forsaken platform promotes volume, now there will be these opportunists that have both the volume, the surface quality AND the marketing means to dominate the landscape. So this new status-quo literally forces creatives to find a way to do this as a hobby, which is impossible to do due to the sheer amount of effort, energy and time it takes to get anywhere close to decent, while never giving you a real chance to even showcase your work. And the accessibility to this generated content will keep all types of creatives out of work. Even if we know fast food is bad for us and we can obtain better alternatives or make food ourselves, most and I mean the vast majority of people will often choose fast food.
