I think we humans are being too dramatic with AI. Throughout humanity, the driving force behind many ground breaking inventions was cost effective efficiency. If it saves time, energy, money, and resources, of course humans would do it. Although a lot of current jobs will go away, new ones will come out. When cars first came out and started to grow in popularity, people who worked with horses must've been terrified as their jobs were being threatened, but in the end, this new invention led to countless new opportunities.
There is no need to spend time and money on something that can be done fast and for free. Unless you want to be left behind unable to keep up, I suggest you start to adapt.
