Artists as a profession have been completely outpaced. Every single one is slower than AI, less consistent, more expensive, and has poor communication. While human artists insisted on delays, vague processes, and revision limits, AI delivers instantly, responds immediately, and never talks down to clients.
Imagine you commission an artist, you pay $500, wait weeks, and get a piece that ignored half your requirements. If you wanted changes, you’d get a couple of half-hearted revisions where maybe they are willing to tweak a color after yet more delays. AI produces more options, faster, at a fraction of the cost, with immediate turnaround. Communication might be one way, but it’s always clear and respectful and willing to discuss at length.
This has been the state of commercial use art until AI hit. Artists deserve everything they get for where they took their craft. Their industry stagnated in entitlement and AI has exposed just how obsolete they really are.
