7:40 I wouldn't say it's uninspired, the original is good... but yes I agree with him the AI version is better SPECIFICALLY IN THAT CASE! Objectively... A.) Theoretically speaking if both images ware either AI made or both ware human made, which one would you pick as better?! That's objective thinking! B.) If you didn't know that a human made the left one, I bet couldn't tell for certain whether it was human or AI, because the "intent" argument is BS! Human has intent true, but then AI does not make anything on it's own! The prompt by human which makes the AI go burr, is by definition "intent"! Isn't it?! C.) You just can't argue with "it's better because human made it so it has intent" that's simply subjectively biased! You have a human made art preference, which is by definition a bias... so you can't claim objectivity! ...and NO! A kid's drawing is not good art because a human drew it! My mother preserved most of my drawings, and other "art" from my childhood. I dumped 95% if not more the first day she gave it to me, because I can not see anything beautiful in objectively crap drawings... My mom's sentimentality does not change the fact that most of it was crap! How can I say that with all certainty? Well I am the "artist" who drew that crap. That's how I learnt. The first who knows many was simply and objectively crap. Sorry, but it's just a BS argument! D.) A drawing only actually has character, if the artist can express it the way he wants! If he can't, there's nothing at all to loose, by giving it to the AI and trying to make it better! E.) Is he really an artist?! Dude! How is that even a question?! You just saw him draw something, and you yourself implied that his drawing had character! If it hadn't you couldn't argue that he threw it away by feeding it to the AI! You refute your own argument dude! F.) And finally no I don't think artists should give up drawing... Good art will always be appreciated, whether it's human or AI made. (I personally enjoy both.) If you make art cause you like it, you should NOT give up! It may not be appreciated as much as it was before AI made art easy, so you may not be able to make a living of it but for your own enjoyment you should still draw. The AI is better then most artists, because let's just face it not all art is good art! That being said, I think AI will never be able to ketch up to a few of the best artists. If you're one of those, you're in luck! Your job will never be replaced by AI. If not, well it sucks... Try harder, or you won't be able to compete! AI is here to stay, whether you like it or not!
