What I have noticed when listening to an AI generated audio is that the AI voice ignores the context when pronouncing some words that have the same spelling. In these cases, it is the context that determines how the word s to be pronounced. Here are two sentences to demonstrate this:
(1) "I will READ that book."
(2) "I have READ that book."
In case #1, the word READ is properly pronounced as "REED." In case #2, the word READ is pronounced as "RED." However, if an AI generated voice is reading these two sentences, the word READ would be pronounced as "REED" in both cases.
