This guy has found his reason to be, and he's going to take his pay check from whoever want's to hear it. Sure, alert us, but stop with doom. 99% unemployment! Get real. If nobody has a job, nobody has money. If nobody has money, nobody can buy anything. If people can't buy anything, then there's no business, nothing for the rich to sell us. Money becomes worthless. People can't eat, and there's 8 billion of them, then guess what. The few who control all this and their "Yes sir! sir"'s that protect them will be hideously outnumbered. Deprive a society of 3 meals, and you have anarchy... Or if we as a species have become that fragmented and weak, then you've got a planet of people, controlled and weak, dying and skint. And we'd deserve it if we've become that stupid and lazy. On the plus side, there's no more fun for the tyrants in that either, they lose their reason to be: "When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer"... I'm not saying AI isn't going to make a change, but until it can figure out how to plug a power cable back in, we can turn it off at any time...we don't because bored billionaires don't want to. Any time technology has caused harm, you can always trace it back to the hand of a human...just guys like this are scaremongering for their own benefit.
