The real danger is that a lot iof powerful people making AI don't want the worlds problems to be solved, they want more money and power for themselves. Just like in the industrial revolution, people invented tech that could bring more equality, but it definietly wasn't used that way to start off with. Looking at the political world that AI is coming into, and at who is inventing it, I don't have much hope for it being used for the good of all.
