Fkn socialists are so dumb. Technological expansion has been occurring for all of human history. And so long as human demand is infinite, there will always be jobs for humans. Except, in the future, instead of a burger and fries being 20$, it’s 2$ because you’re not paying people along the way. And you’ll buy that 2$ burger with your easier and easier and increasingly technologically enhanced labor. No one would’ve thought typing on a keyboard and sending emails all day would be a job 100 years ago yet here we are. “Work” of the future will be like playing games, or going on walks, or meeting people. In a world where theoretically everything has been automated, we will just invent a new system that is tied to extremely minimal economic value, and robots will do the rest. Maybe economic value of the future is how well you entertain others or how nice you are. My point is that once “productive value” is solved, capitalism will just reorient towards “social value + miniscule amounts of productive value”.
