I’ll never understand the argument of artists just ‘being born with the talent.’ Even now, as someone who’s been drawing for years and years, I have so many pieces, doodles, projects - whatever you want to call them - that I just don’t look as good as I’d hope. And yes, I can say I’m a good artist, I have a lot I’m proud of. But even so, I wasn’t pumping out masterpieces from the ripe age of five. I’ve had so many drawings I’ve scrapped, crochet projects I’ve unraveled, and animations I’ve deleted. But I just kept practicing, and that’s how I can make pieces I’m really proud of. It just pisses me off so much when ai ‘art’ enthusiasts will spit out the argument of artists just being born with the skill.
