Im making this comment because the two top comments talk about the "big beautiful bill". And I thought it best to make a top level comment that might be seen by people that read other comments about the 10 years of unregulated AI stuff, which gave them anxiety/spike of concern
From my research I did back when the bill was being passed I found out that part of the bill was thrown out. So, while politicians are pretty terrible at doing what's best for people, they at least saw this as bad enough to not allow it in.
