Calling AI "art" not art because it's AI is like some caveman calling an oil painting not painting because it's not a finger painting and it uses paint brushes. Art has always been intimately wounded with technology, we use tools at our disposal to express ourselves, that's art, so AI art is also art, and like all art, some are terrible, some are amazing, and some people are better at using the tools than others.
