Unfortunately, the majority of folks seeing something supporting their views and beliefs will not make any effort to verify. AI is a perfect tool for people who want to control the weak minded. Unfortunately as well, is the fact that this just increases the distrust of what is real. The perfect world for Trump and other power hungry scum.
