The other big difference between people learning and ai being trained by a dataset is that people are human beings, and ai is a ***commercial product*** whose entire value is in it's ability to replace or not replace the people who made the training data.
If you learn from my art you're my fellow human being and I'm glad you're learning. If an AI model is trained on my art without my consent, it's a corporation stealing my intelectual property and creative labor to make a commercial product they won't pay me anything for.
