They tell people to lower their energy usage on the hottest summer days, yet all these energy-wasting data centers are being built and no one asked for them. It seems extremely unfair to keep GPUs cooled and not humans. I honestly don't understand the need for all these data centers as it has been proven everyone has a need for A.I. These A.I. data centers use up too much energy and water and the main users are the wealthiest tech companies. I don't want to be stuck paying their energy bills. I'm not a backer of A.I. displacing humans. Our government is stupid for allowing all these data centers if enough energy can't be provided for human consumption.
