You can defend that AI as you want, 90% of what you said is not real.
it does not create art or music, it creates images or audio from text prompt.
And its images can only be composition of other things, and you said human artists also 'just combine' but no, they add their own, imagine things they want to add. So at the very least, human artists have way more options to chose templates from, while AI only has its small poorly described dataset.
About following instruction or rules of a chatbot? nope. It will follow them only if it has in its dataset some speccific scenrio that you want, otherwise it will hallucinate all of it. For example playing chess with chatGPT, illegl moves, or trying to ask it to write a program on made up/not popular laungagem simple logic but no examples in dataset -> fail.
So all of that, AI does not understand, it brings up from dataset something, idk, remembers the dataset? But it does not reason or anything. Its deep thinking mode or whatever is same, if it is casual problem, it will find about it in dataset/internet, otherwise it will only halucinate and not even admit it does not know, its lucky if in thinking it find analog to that that is supported by its tools, but otherwise it will probably fail.
