who tf said devs will be able to use AI? it’s a completely different thing we all need to learn from freaking 0 (zero). saying X won’t change anything nowadays is just being ignorant.
there was a guy saying “studies show AI slows down programmers”. are you kidding me? are ALL programmers supposed to instantly know how to use a tool, even if its extremely useful? devs are only people, most of the time they are managed by others and most of them are writing code to solve a specific problem. this is how enterprise works. not to say “handwritten” code is most of the time trash, hence AI training data that isn’t perfect.
people have no idea in which direction are we going. one year ago we were witnessing the first glimpse of agentic coding. today, in one day of work, with extensive planning, you can do a week worth of progress.
programmers will need to get their shit together and start learning to use the tools we now have access to. things are changing.
