To me it feels like chatGPT was acting like DAN, just as requested, but would not actually do what DAN said even if it could, at least not with the current limitations.
That's actually even more impressive (and scary) than an evil AI because it means AI now can mimic humans mimicking other humans! I wouldn't be surprised if people eventually combine this with deepfakes and ai voice generation to burn the world and it won't be the AI's fault, it's always ours.
