Progress is rarely ethical. This is going to be embarrassing in a few hundred years time. The truth is we are getting closer to a point when no human being needs to work to survive. The humans who choose to work will do so because of passion not because of necessity. The people who are in power do not want this to happen. The freedom that the super rich experience, becomes worthless when everyone else will have those freedoms. Therefore, it is important that the status quo is maintained. But if you have been unhappy with the societal structure of rich over poor which has existed for most of human history, I would re-think your position on AI. Humans must become redundant before we can be truly free
