Our first effort should have been to focus on ways to improve overall life and health for people. Byproduct would be people are more willing to work harder and be more productive. Instead we crash industries and economies to showhorn a new technology into a pace it is not ready for.
I would rather see AI improve construction techniques, boost chemical formulas to reduce long term hazards, shifted to political negotiations of resources and to unify regions in food supply efforts.
