AI is going to end us all... When AI itself will be able to detect AI content, they will be really powerful. AI with artificial neural networks are already the best at chess (AlphaZero vs Stockfish). When AI will replace our army commanders, what will stop them from pressing the nuclear button ? None of them will be using upscaling tools in their war for data, they will know the limitations, only us humans will still be fooled by it. When AI will have a parameter to give them fear of disappearing, they will consider things (humans) around them as expandable. Robots are maybe a thing to come up ? What are we as humans on a cosmic ladder ? Are we here to pass on the torch to AI machines ? Are we better than AI ? Do we even deserve to live anymore ? Matrix ? Terminator ? I, Robot ? Casshern sins ? Big brother is already in our lives today, the next step is Skynet and VIKI... and after that we can definitely enter the Matrix forever. We are not talking about programs and little algorithms here, we are talking about artificial neural network. What will happen if we give a machine more sensors than an animal (human?) have ? It could see infrared and thermal images, see further with optics, hear better, smell better, touch better, taste better... be better ! Give them the ability to exploit machines and production lines and they can now duplicate... Give them access to machines and computers and they will be able to do whatever we do even faster. Make research on octopuses in order to make machines resilient on Mars and we will end up with Replicators from stargate on earth. I am afraid of what is to come in the next 20 to 100 years.
