My line of thought is I have an idea so I look it up and find multiple pictures that are close to the idea, then I use an AI generator to mix and match until I have a picture close to the idea I had, then I use the picture as a base point to start drawing my idea, I don't sell the art work, I don't claim it's mine, this doesn't sound any different than a person taking inspiration from pictures online, I'd also go about putting my pictures through the generator to see what I could've done differently to improve the overall drawing.
