Krystal's point about making a higher intelligence is simply the making a God in their own image. People worship "God" or someone/thing that they feel is smarter than them and has the answers. But that tends to end when the answers are not what they want to hear.
Like Musk's Xai he tweaked to give what he would say, not what it would naturally say. Because he disagreed with it. Republicans would want any AI that gave "woke" answers "adjusted" just as any democrat would want "adjusted" AI who says it's more efficient to just kill a million people.
Anthony Hopkins recently said he based Hannibal Lector's voice off of Hal 9000 as he could think of nothing more terrifying than a calm calculating machine that thirsted for killing.
