Yes, AI doesn't vote. People will vote their circumstances, and there will be politicians who will exploit it. UBI is actually inevitable, it's either that or watch the human race go extinct, the owners of corporations are human, if the human race becomes extinct they die! Also people vote and no PR campaign no matter how well funded with convince them to go along with mass starvation and extermination, that is where the scenario breaks down.
