The problem with Bernie Sanders is that he is old, as I am, and he is looking through the prism of his life experiences. Bernie Sanders don't have a view of the future that is not tied to his views of the past. Every generation had to deal with some kind of technology that sweated away thousands of jobs. Notwithstanding generations of technologies, in 2024, unemployment was at an all-time low. I don't know how AI will impact our economy or change the dynamics of the workplace, but I do know humans will thrive and survive. Bernie Sanders and others his age should step aside and allow those who will live in the future be the judges on how to employ AI and regulate it.
