I have some thoughts on this. 1) Stopping this change doesn't seem possible. 2) To prove that you(or government) have a chance as making corporations include the workers in a positive way during this change start with something smaller. Get rid of H1B visa or change it so that it doesn't negatively affect jobs for Americans. However I doubt you(or government) will be able to achieve such a change. 3) Corporations could already improve worker pay if they were forced to change CEO's pay ratio to something better than 285-to-1. Make their ratio capped at 20-1. And make tax laws that make it so if the money doesn't get shared to the rest of the worker at a more sane ratio that the corporations pay a big tax penalty. However I doubt you(or government) will be able to achieve such a change. 4) Now you want corporations to stop with their profit multiplier adoption of AI and Robots. With the small steps above that have been available for change for the betterment of the average American for decades, it really doesn't seem possible. 5) Our population vs shrinking number of jobs, is already a problem. At what ratio of people over available or existing jobs will the whole stack of cards tumble? Figure this out and keep active measurement of this to know how much time we have left before we need something drastic as Universal Basic Income. Remember we are heading towards a future where there will no long be enough jobs to keep a large enough of population functioning. 6) Try to regulate GREED and loopholes for the upper class. This hasn't happened either. 7) Policies that reduce wealth gaps. Remember EMPIRES TOPPLE WHEN THE WEALTH GAP GETS TO GROW INDEFINITELY. 8) Need more back up plans of brainstorming other than Universal Basic Income. If there is any back up plan for people.
