What was once a hypothetical is very much here. Drones are used now on such a massive scale due to the Ukraine war and now slowly being used in cities. AI is only ever getting smarter and being able to operate drones and jets without any assistance. Drones are now as tiny if not tinier than this. Swarming tech is here is already being improved.
It is only a matter of time they announce they have AI swarming killer micro-drones... for all we know, it's already fully made by DARPA and just waiting for the green light to be used.
