Just to point out the obvious. 75 million amongst a global workforce of 3,7 billion might not be that rare. It is very easy to attribute AI as the sole reason for this fluctuation in workforce. It was not strange that companies went on a hiring bonanza 2020-2022 but when they now start to reduce workforce it is. I am open to all possible futures since the future is a massive unknown. However, I don't agree that we should just buy what big tech is feeding us to motivate their insane CAPEX spending. They are selling fears so that everyone runs towards implementing AI everywhere. This does not solve the data problem of AI. So good with some nuance.
I work in a global industrial company and can just say that an implementation that leads to transformational productivity boosts will take a lot of time. A lot longer that what media is telling you. Data is becoming a valuable asset and regionalization is preventing data to move cross boarders. That is just one of all the challenges that still exists in reality.
