A pundit on You Tube made a major factual mis-statement about the Samoan Measles outbreak worsened by RFK Jr. I googled the outbreak and found the AI generated report summary couldn't keep the American Samoan events, death and reports separate from those of the cousins in the country Samoa where RFK Jr. caused his damage and deaths.
Physician specialists who agree to practice by standard routines where the data seems clear and advances are brought to the whole specialty as they are accepted will be less needed and partly replaced by AI. In primary care there is so much incorrect data and expert recommendation that is wrong while improvements are slow and diverted by corruption that AI will be limited to weeding out drug interactions, fleshing out differential diagnoses and properly billing - those things benefitting patients. Diagnoses on death certificates need help, nothing on my mother's was correct and there was a serious error on my father's as well - but hard to put off cremation a few more weeks to fight through the doctor's office for a correction.
