With disabled artists one of the gross things is that the pervasive push of ai art has lead to a fair amount of depressed people leaning on it. When the tech was fairly early (and it wasn't as commonly understood how it worked behind the scenes) I was in a community for it, and it was pretty much tech bros and people like me who mistakenly felt like they couldn't make their best work anymore because of new disabilities. Constantly hearing that this new thing may be a way out is crushing when you're still struggling to adapt to a new reality.
Props to the tech bros for being so gross against criticism I guess, it helped a lot of people look at their surroundings and decide they didn't want to be a part of it.
