"AI model collapse" was brushed over so quickly. Models are finished, packaged programs. There is literally nothing you can do to damage an existing model through this type of poisoning because it's already trained and done. You'd have to remove all copies of it from all devices everywhere somehow, like any other finished software.
Have you tried to use AI before and train something like a lora to see for yourself if nightshade and glaze work? It doesn't take long and it would be a lot easier to reach a solid conclusion. Afaik you can still do it for free on civitAI in less than a day.
