I don't think the issue is that it's associated with porn. If a fan wants to make a deep fake, it shouldn't matter that some random person they don't even know uses it for porn. I think the real issue is putting out videos of actual people doing things they didn't do. People shouldn't be able to make it look like you did something and put it online. It's like a step above green screens / edits and it's a step too far. Now if this could be regulated better maybe but for now. I don't think it's a good idea.
