I see the sentiment of, "If you don't enjoy drawing, then you're not a real artist", repeated a lot.
I'm very curious about this, do people truly hold these beliefs? When I hear it, it just makes me feel a little guilty I guess.
I haven't enjoyed making art for over a decade, but I still continue to make art with my own hands.
If repeating that sentiment helps people understand the many issues with gen ai then I suppose I'm alright with it, but I guess I'd prefer people stopped saying that.
(Although I understand why they're saying it. My belief is just that you don't have to always be enjoying the creative process to be a "real artist". Art can be pretty painful to make, especially if you're unwell.)
